Zozo (02/2023), Female
Hi, I'm Zozo. My mum is BonBon, and we have been together my whole life. We lived in Athens with a woman called Ritsa who loved animals more than anything, and when Ritsa died we lost our home almost overnight. Someone made sure we ended up here together, and I am grateful for that every day.
I arrived at the shelter on February 5th, 2026. I was born on February 1st, 2023, so I am a young adult cat — spayed, vaccinated, negative for everything they tested me for, no conditions, no medications. I prefer wet food but I eat dry when that's what's available.
I should be upfront: I am shy. Not unfriendly, not aggressive — just cautious. I take my time with new people and new places. Loud noises and sudden movements are not for me. If I am overwhelmed I will hide, which is my way of managing things without making a scene, and I think that is actually quite civilised.

But here is what happens when I decide you are safe: I talk to you. I meow when I want to be fed and when I want to be petted and sometimes just to let you know I am aware you exist and I approve of it. I rub on furniture near you to signal that things are going well. And then I find your lap. I love a lap. I will settle into one with a sincerity that I hope makes the wait feel worth it.

I am most alive at night — that is when I am at my most active and social. During the day I am on my high shelf, watching, being comfortable in my own company. I have no interest in other cats beyond my mum, though I do not cause problems with them.

I would love to go home with BonBon if that is possible. If not, a solo home with a calm, gentle person who will give me treats and time and a lap is everything I need.

I am getting there. I promise.
