Munch (06/2026), Male

Hi, I'm Munch

I was found in a car engine. I am fine — clearly — but it was not my best moment and I would prefer not to revisit it. What matters is that someone found me, I arrived at the shelter on August 28th, 2026, and things have been considerably calmer since then, which suits me very well because calm is exactly what I require.

I was born June 2nd, 2026. Negative for FeLV, FIV, FIP, Parvo, Corona, and Giardia . I am vaccinated, microchipped, no conditions, no medications, no allergies.

Here is how I work with people: I am shy. Not aggressive — I want to be very clear about that distinction — I simply do not trust immediately and I express this by going somewhere high and watching. A shelf, a cat tree, anywhere with elevation — that is where I feel safe enough to consider what comes next. If you approach me there, slowly, quietly, without sudden movements or loud noises, something good happens: I let you pet me everywhere, and I purr at a volume that I have been told is genuinely startling for my size. I mean it entirely.

I am not a lap cat. I like my independence. I will not come to you, but I will welcome you warmly if you come to me the right way. I play with other cats, love all toys, explore carefully and curiously, and spend my time in cozy high spots between all of that. Fast movements and loud noises make me disappear. Older children who know how to be calm and gentle around cats are fine. Younger ones are not the right fit for me.

I was found in a car engine and came out of it entirely myself. I just need a calm home, some patience, and a high shelf to start from. The purr that comes after is worth every bit of it.
