Hi, I'm Sunny

A neighbour was feeding me on the streets of Varkiza. One day I was hit by a car on Ivis street, right in front of a foster volunteer who made sure I got to safety immediately. I had surgery on my left back leg. I arrived at the shelter on April 24th, 2026, and I have been here since, healing and playing and sunbathing and generally getting on with things.

My left leg has a limp that might be permanent. I would like you to know that I have not given this much thought and it has not changed my approach to life in any meaningful way.

I was born on August 1st, 2025. I am neutered, vaccinated and healthy. No medications, no dietary needs, no restrictions. I eat anything.

​

My personality: I love people. I love being petted all over, I rub and purr and head butt to show my appreciation, and I seek out human attention because I genuinely enjoy it and see no reason to hide that. I have a silent meow — I open my mouth and the intention is fully there, the sound just doesn't really come out — and I use it often, for food, for pets, and for general communication purposes. I find it gets the message across.

I love bell toys. Jingle toys specifically. I play with them with real commitment and I am most active in the mornings and evenings. The rest of the time I am probably sprawled out somewhere, ideally in a patch of sun, because sunbathing is one of the things I am best at.

​

Other cats: I have opinions about them and I express those opinions physically on the balcony. I am territorial about my space and I will swat cats who encroach on it. A solo home would genuinely make me happiest, or possibly one with a smaller, calmer female cat who doesn't make me feel like I need to defend anything. I can bite when overstimulated, so children aged ten and above are the better fit.

I was hit by a car and saved by people who acted quickly. I now have a slight limp and a very strong opinion about sun patches. I am ready for a home that will have both.
