Hi, I'm Semi

Someone in Voula saw me on the street with a large wound and badly infected eyes and made sure I got help. I arrived at the shelter on March 19th, 2026, and things moved quickly from there — one eye was too far gone and had to be removed, the other had sutures placed to save it, and several teeth came out due to infection. I now have one eye that sees partially, daily Hyal drops to keep it hydrated, and a personality that has not been affected by any of this in the slightest.

I was born on June 1st, 2021. I am neutered, vaccinated and FIV positive — FeLV and FIP negative.  I should ideally live with other FIV positive cats or on my own or with other friendly cats. I eat gastrointestinal wet food for chronic diarrhoea and prefer to stick to that — it keeps everything running smoothly and I am much happier for it. No other medications beyond my eye drops. That is the full picture.

My personality: I am a lap cat. That is the most accurate and complete description of who I am. I will find your lap and I will be on it. I love being petted on my head and chin above all, but I accept and enjoy pets everywhere. I purr, I rub, I head butt, and I give love bites — affectionate ones, though I can get overstimulated if things go on too long, so older children are the better fit. I am mostly quiet during the day and meow occasionally in the evenings when I want attention, which is my most active time.

I have one partially sighted eye and I explore with complete confidence anyway, which I think says something good about my character. I love feather toys when I am in the mood, spend time on the catio, and sleep in cozy nooks and cat beds. I need a little time to settle around other cats, especially males, but I have no aggression toward anyone.

I came off a street in Voula wounded. I now have one eye, daily drops, a strong opinion about laps, and a great deal of love to give. I think that is a very good outcome and I am ready for what comes next.
