Hi there, I’m Bacon! I used to be part of a family living nearby LBS foster home but when the family couldn’t care for me any longer LBS stepped in and took me under their care!

I’m an excited, playful dog who absolutely loves being around people! I’m always ready to greet you with a wagging tail, some licks, and maybe even a jump or two—sorry, I just get really happy! I love getting pets, and my belly? Oh, I’ll show it to you right away because belly rubs are the best!

​

When it comes to other dogs, I do my best with female friends. I have a buddy named Sophie here at the shelter, and we get along great. I’ll admit, I’m not always the best around male dogs, but I promise I’m working on it! I’m super friendly with people though, and I’ll welcome anyone with open paws and a wagging tail.

I used to live around kids for a while and I love to play with them too. I’ve been practicing my leash skills, but I’ve got a bit of learning to do. Sometimes I pull on the leash, and I’m also quite the talker, especially when I’m left alone—I just want to make sure everyone knows I’m here! I don’t like being left alone!

​

I love playing with ropes and small chew toys, and while I enjoy a good game of fetch, I also like to take naps in the shade under the trees. And you know what’s even better than that? Car rides! I love sticking my head out the window and feeling the wind on my face—it’s so much fun!

​

I’m a curious guy, and I love exploring new places. I may bark and whine to let you know what I need, like more pets or attention, but that’s just me being me!
