Hi, I’m King! I might have a regal name, but I’m really just a gentle soul who’s learning to trust the world. I was rescued in Athens after being found stuck inside the mechanism of a car — it was scary, but I was so lucky a kind Let’s Be SMART manager found me and my 2 siblings and brought us to safety on January 5th, 2025.

I’m a quiet, shy boy. I tend to hide when people come near, especially if they’re new or move too quickly. I like my independence and enjoy spending time alone, often under furniture or snuggled up under the bed. But if you give me time and space, I may reward you with a soft purr and let you gently stroke my back.

 

I get along well with other cats and feel most relaxed when I have a feline friend around. While I haven’t bonded with one specific cat yet, I love playing and napping beside others. I could happily live in a quiet multi-cat home or even on my own — as long as I have a calm environment.

 

I’m a laid-back kind of guy, most active in the mornings and at night. I’m not talkative, and I’m very cautious when exploring new spaces. Sudden movements startle me, so I’d love a home that’s slow-paced, patient, and understanding.

 

I don’t need any special food or care — I eat everything and have no allergies. My favorite toy? A simple ball. My favorite activity? Definitely nap time.
