Lampi (04/2026), Female

Hi, I'm Lampi

A woman found me in Argyroupoli and took me in because she wanted to keep me. She really did. But her clients have allergies and she runs her business from home, so she made sure I ended up somewhere safe instead of back on the street. I arrived at the shelter on August 4th, 2026, and I am still figuring things out — but I am getting there, slowly and carefully, which is how I do most things.

There is something I should tell you about myself: I have cerebellar hypoplasia, which means I wobble and shake when I move. It is not painful, it does not get worse, and I am still adjusting to it myself, which means I am a little quieter and less active right now than I will eventually be. My home needs to be set up with me in mind — a raised angled bowl for food and water, soft cushioning in case I fall, a low-entry litter tray, no access to heights, and occasional baths because I sometimes get a little poop on myself when I use the box, which I otherwise manage perfectly well. Medically I am completely fine — vaccinated, no conditions, no medications, no allergies.

With people I am a little shy at first, but I come around. I love being held and petted on my head, chin, and back, and I show my appreciation through purring and head butts. I am happy with attention and equally happy exploring on my own at my own pace. I meow when I want food, which is my main form of communication, and I am most active in the mornings and evenings. I love things I can scratch.

Other cats are something I am not ready for right now — they scare me and I will hide or hiss or growl if they come too close. A solo home where I do not have to deal with that is genuinely what I need at this stage. I was around two young daughters of the woman who fostered me and I was completely fine with them — children aged five or six and above should be no problem.

I wobble when I walk. I also purr when you hold me and push my head into your hand when I like you. I think the second part matters more than the first, and I am looking for a home that agrees.
