Hello people! My name is Non Ginger and I showed up outside the shelter one day and, honestly, I just felt at home. The team caught me, ran my tests, and I kind of never left — why would I, when I found my best friend Ginger there? What started as a catch-and-assess turned into my whole new life.

I'm neutered, and my vaccines are up to date. No allergies, no sensitivities — I'm a pretty low-maintenance guy healthwise.

 

I love people. All of them. Every single one. I'm affectionate, laid-back, vocal, and I genuinely don't have a least favorite human — everyone gets the full Non Ginger experience. I've been living in the shelter parking lot, napping on sun-warmed cars and greeting whoever comes by, but I'd take to home life beautifully. I'm curious but calm, happy to explore or happy to just settle in. I use my voice to communicate, mostly to ask for pets, and I'm very good at asking.

I'm very comfortable around other cats and have a truly special bond with my best friend Ginger. I could adapt to a home with or without feline company, but I won't pretend — having a buddy around makes life better.

I love every person who walks through the door and I make sure they know it. My signature move is rolling around on the ground when I'm happy, which is basically my default setting around humans. I love lap time and will meow politely but clearly when I want attention. I prefer head scratches over body strokes — I'll let you know what I like, don't worry.

 

I haven't had much experience with toys since I've lived outdoors, but I'm curious enough that I'd probably enjoy discovering them. What I do know I love: sunny spots, long naps, and the sound of someone walking over with food. I'm not bothered by loud noises or sudden movements — very little rattles me.

 

Regarding food, everything is fine by me. Any food, any treat, zero complaints. I am a very easy guest at the dinner table.

I'd be happy in so many different kinds of homes — with other cats or without, calm or lively. I really need is a sunny corner, a warm lap when I ask for one, and someone who'll scratch behind my ears. I'll tell you when I want them — and I'll tell you very sweetly.
