Hi, I’m Daphne. I came from the streets of Athens, rescued by a kind man who tried to find me a home. When he couldn’t, he brought me to the shelter where I’m learning, little by little, how to feel safe again. I’m blind, and when I first arrived, I was terrified of everything and everyone. I used to hide under couches or curl up in the deepest corners of the cat trees.

But things are changing. I’ve made a few feline friends and I like playing with them—especially climbing and scratching! I still don’t like human contact, and I’m not ready for pets or cuddles just yet. I need someone with lots of patience and love to help me continue growing at my own pace.

 

I’m quiet and gentle, but I’ll hiss or hide if I feel overwhelmed or scared. My favorite places are tucked inside furniture or curled up in a cozy cat tree, sometimes near a window to feel the sun. I’m most active in the mornings and afternoons, and I’m curious enough to explore new places when I feel safe.
