Hi, I’m Dory, a baby boy born in August 2025, and I’m still learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place. I arrived at the shelter on October 20, 2025, and even though my rescue story is unknown, what matters most is that I’m here now — growing, healing, and slowly learning to trust.

I’m  doing really well health-wise. I don’t have allergies and don’t need medication.

I’m a shy and cautious little guy, and I need time to feel comfortable. When new people come around, I usually watch from a high place or find a cozy hiding spot. But lately, I’ve been opening up more — and when I decide I’m ready, I love gentle neck and butt scratches. I’ll rub against you to let you know it’s okay. I just like to take things at my own pace.

Other cats make me feel safe. I really enjoy their company, and I’ve even made close friends here, like Nova and Scaramouch. I love quiet playtime and cuddling with other cats, so having a feline friend in my future home would help me feel confident and secure.

I’m more on the laid-back side, though I still enjoy playing — especially with string toys. I love napping on high shelves, playing quietly on my own, and just sharing a space with my humans. I’m mostly active in the evenings, not very vocal, and I prefer calm environments without loud noises or sudden movements. I might not be ready for kids just yet, but I promise I have a very gentle heart.

Oh — and I love food! I’ll happily eat anything you offer, especially liquid treats. I’m a foodie and proud of it.
