Hi, I’m Dakis, your future furry friend! I’m a handsome kitty with a gentle heart and a love for cozy spots. My life began on the streets of Greece, but things changed in March 2020, when a kind soul took me in at an office. I spent years there, being loved by everyone who worked there, but now I’m here at the shelter, ready for my forever home.

I’m a pretty laid-back guy who’s both affectionate and a little independent. I’ll admit I’m shy at first, but once I get to know you, I enjoy cuddles and pets and will rub against you to show my affection. I don’t mind being on my own and am usually quiet, but I also like company and gentle pets.

I’m okay around some cats, but honestly, I think I’d be happier in a solo home where I don’t have to share my space. I get along fine without showing aggression or anything, but I haven’t really made any close cat friends here. A place of my own would be perfect for me.

New people can make me a bit nervous, so I take my time warming up. But if you’re patient and give me some space, I’ll come around! I don’t like loud noises or sudden movements, but in a calm environment, I feel much safer. Once I trust you, I’ll happily accept pets and affection.

You’ll usually find me up high, either on shelves or the hexagon perches, just watching the world or napping. I’m most active in the evenings and like to play with stick toys now and then, but mostly I love to relax. I’m easygoing with food – I like both wet and dry, though I do have some dietary needs.

I’d love a home that’s peaceful and a little predictable, maybe with older kids or adults who understand I need time to feel safe. If you’re looking for a quiet, gentle friend who’ll keep you company from my favorite high spot, I might be the kitty for you!
