Jimmy (05/2023), Male
Hi, I'm Jimmy
Some tourists found me on the streets of Vari. I was weak, I was wobbling, and I had wounds on my back. They looked after me for one night and then brought me to the shelter on April 27th, 2026. I was born on August 1st, 2025, so I was still very young when all of this happened.

I want to be honest with you about my health, because there is a fair amount to say. I tested FIV and FeLV negative. The wounds on my back may have come from poison — possibly something I ingested and then groomed onto my fur. I had an ear infection, which is treated now. I have a wobble that has gotten noticeably better since I arrived but is still there — nobody is completely sure yet if it's from the poisoning or something I was simply born with. My liver levels are currently high, so I take medication and eat a hepatic diet, in small portions. I'm not neutered yet — we're waiting until I'm strong enough — and I haven't started vaccinations for the same reason.

None of that has dampened my personality even slightly. I am friendly, playful, and very, very vocal. I will meow at you for attention. I will reach out and grab you as you walk past my pen, just to make sure you know I'm there. I show affection through headbutts, belly rolls, biscuit-making, and reaching toward you for pets. I love company and I am completely fine with strangers — I don't really have a type, I just like people.

Here's something important: I have limits, and I will tell you when you've reached them. If I get overstimulated during petting I might swipe and walk off, but I am not aggressive — I just need a minute. Please don't touch me above my tail, and please don't restrain me. Sudden movements can startle me too.

I love string toys, wand toys, and balls, and when I'm not playing I'm probably napping or burrowing under something cozy. I'm most lively in the mornings and evenings. I'm curious about other cats but haven't spent much time around them, and I can get a bit defensive if one gets too close — I think a solo home, or maybe one with one or two calm cats eventually, would suit me best. I'd do well with older, gentler children who move slowly around me.

I came off the street wobbling and hurt, and I have spent every day since then being exactly who I am: playful, affectionate, and ready to meow my heart out at anyone who'll listen. I just need someone patient enough to support my recovery. I promise I'll give you everything I've got in return.
