Hi, I’m Smut! I’m Smut, a calm and independent senior cat looking for a quiet and loving home to live out my golden years. I was born around 2014 (maybe even earlier!) and spent most of my life at Zappeio as a stray. For over eight years, kind people fed me and made me feel cared for. At first, I was nervous around humans and kept my distance. But over time, I got used to them. Things changed when my home turned into a construction site—it became noisy and unsafe, especially for an older cat like me with dogs around. That’s when I was brought to safety, and now I’m ready to find my forever family.

Health-wise, I’m doing well for my age, but I do have a few senior cat quirks. I might have a little arthritis, and I can’t see very well out of one eye. I also eat special gastrointestinal food to keep my tummy happy and take a daily supplement called Hepatiale Forte for my liver. I’ve been neutered, I am vaccinated and tested negative for all major diseases.

I love my peace and quiet, so you’ll usually find me lounging on the balcony or in my favorite corner. I’m not the kind of cat to approach strangers, but once I get to know you, I’ll show my affection with slow blinks and by rubbing against your legs!I really enjoy being groomed and petted on my back—especially near my tail—but please don’t touch my face; I get uncomfortable.

Toys aren’t really my thing these days, probably due to my age. I prefer to nap, eat, and enjoy my surroundings. Loud noises and sudden movements can make me nervous, so I’d prefer a calm and peaceful home. I’d be happy as an only cat, but I’m also okay with quiet feline companions—I tend to avoid conflict.I am mostly a laid back guy, who loves food and easy going days! I am quiet but will communicate with you if necessary!
