Chandler (02/2026), Male

Hi, I'm Chandler. I'm not the first one to run up to you. That's Joey — he's the bold one, and honestly I feed off his energy more than I'd like to admit. When he gets excited, I get excited. When he barks, I probably join in. We're a unit like that.

My brother Joey and I were found on a road in Fthiotida in early April 2026. Some of our siblings didn't make it. Our mum ran off and couldn't be caught. It was a hard start, and I won't pretend otherwise. But we got here to the shelter on April 6th, and people have been kind ever since.

Health update: both rounds of mutliple vaccines done, Rabies vaccination on June 26th, and negative on all fecal tests across two rounds including late June. I am in perfect health with no conditions, no allergies, no medications. I eat my puppy kibble and I'm not yet neutered, but that's coming.

My personality sits somewhere between playful and peaceful — I'm still very much a puppy with real energy, but I have a gentler side that I think will make me a very good companion someday. I love being petted with slow, soft strokes, and I wag and lean and lick to show you how much I appreciate it. Once I trust you I am fully, completely yours. I bark quite a lot — for attention, for food, for playtime, and sometimes just because Joey is barking and that feels like the right thing to do. My future home should know this and embrace it.

Loud noises can still startle me and I'm a sensitive boy at heart, so a calmer environment suits me better than a chaotic one. I'm becoming braver every day though. The leash is something we are working on — I tend to freeze when asked to walk somewhere unfamiliar, and I will need patient, kind training on this. I can jump and get quite physical when excited, so older children or those who know how to be calm around dogs are the better fit — I could knock a smaller child over without meaning any harm at all.

I would love to go somewhere with Joey. But I can also imagine being someone's one and only dog, curled up on a sofa living a very good, very peaceful life. I'm smart, I respond to kindness, and I will get there.

I came from a roadside with nothing. I just know I'd like what comes next to involve someone patient, a warm spot to sleep, and maybe Joey nearby if possible.
