Hello there! My name is Ellie, and I’m a sweet, independent girl looking for a forever home. I was found and rescued in May 2024 from a dangerous area by a kind man who wanted to ensure I would be safe and loved. At first, I was a little shy, but I’ve grown so much since then.

 

Now, I’m much more confident and happy—though I still like to take my time getting to know new people. If you’re patient with me, I’ll reward you with gentle purrs and let you scratch my neck and back (those are my favorite spots). I love to play, especially with balls and toys on strings. Chasing things is so much fun, and I also enjoy climbing to high places where I can relax and watch what’s going on. I get along well with most cats and have made some great friends, like Cirilo and Esmeralda. I even seem to be part of the “black cat gang” at the shelter—I guess I just fit right in!

I’m a quiet girl most of the time, but if you bring out food, you might hear my little meows. I like a peaceful home, and while I haven’t met many kids, I think I’d do best with older ones since loud noises and sudden movements can startle me a bit. But don’t worry—I’m pretty quick to settle down again. I’m in great health, fully vaccinated, and have no special dietary needs. I love my t wet food and enjoy spending my time in cozy, high-up spots where I feel safe.
