In Greece there is a large population of stray animals, in many cases  as a result of irresponsible behaviour of pet owners who often do not spay/neuter their pets in the first place. Unwanted offsprings of their pets then end up in animal shelters, on the streets or in worse case are subject of cruelty from the pet owners themselves who are trying to get rid of them in unethical ways.

A single unsterilized female cat and her kittens can produce hundreds of kittens in just a few years. Therefore sterilization is indispensable for reducing the number of stray animals on the streets and reducing their overpopulation in general.

Let's be S.M.A.R.T. has recently launched the cats sterilization program in Attika region with the aim to support welfare of strays and reduce their number.

Donated funds will be used for following:

- Organizing and facilitating sterilization of stray cats in collaboration with Let's be S.M.A.R.T. vets who support our activities.

When you would like to donate specifically for sterilization program of stray cats in Greece, please mention in your donation "Sterilization Program"
